‘Under the Dome’ season 3 spoilers: Prepare for the battle to intensify
At the moment, “Under the Dome” season 3 seems to be a pretty clear battleground between two different sides: Those controlled by Christine, and then those who are not. While Christine has a lot of the power right now, is it really going to be staying that way forever? We’re betting on the answer to that being “no,” and we have some further proof suggesting this right now courtesy of the first details regarding the upcoming episode “Legacy,” airing on August 20.
Before we do too much else, let’s just go ahead and share the details via a CBS synopsis:
“The Resistance, the citizens not under Christine’s (Marg Helgenberger) control, join forces with an unexpected ally: Hektor Martin (Eriq La Salle), the nefarious head of Aktaion. Despite Hektor revealing more about the Dome’s origins and helping to strike back at it, Big Jim and Julia still worry he will betray them. Meanwhile, Hunter receives encrypted files that give disturbing insights into the final effect the Dome will have on the infected townspeople.”
For those wanting to see more of how Hektor fits in to the puzzle this season, here is your answer. We do still wonder, though, whether or not this newfound reunion will matter that much of Christine has enough power and resources on her side. Also, there is that whole concern about a possible betrayal.
Still, our favorite thing about this entire story may be the fact that if you asked us years ago, we would have never believed for a second that Big Jim and Julia working together would become a series story on the show. It just felt like far too much of a remote possibility.
