‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 9 video: Emily asks Sara to prom

Sara Harvey has become the latest Emily Fields love interest on “Pretty Little Liars,” but she is one who is much more complicated than most. She’s been through some pretty terrible stuff presumably as a result of being trapped by Charles, and she was gone so much longer than any of the Liars were. She is trying to get her life back, and at the same time have some sort of relationship with Emily.

Is there hope for these two to actually be together in the long-term? We’re not willing to say that just yet, even if they do have feelings for each other now. The sneak peek below is at least some proof that we are witnessing Sara getting pulled in a variety of different directions, and she is struggling to a certain extent with some of the pressure that goes along with that. She may not be at the makeshift prom that the Liars are putting together, and that is obviously going to make Emily sad.

Then again, this could be the best thing for Sara given what we know at present about this prom … including that Charles at some point may decide that it is a good idea to crash it and cause a little bit of chaos in the process.

We’ll be back tomorrow night with a full review of “Last Dance,” and the one thing that we can say right now is to expect all events of this hour to directly carry over to everything that takes place in the big summer finale.
