‘Mistresses’ season 3 spoilers: A look ahead at ‘What Could Have Been’

Is “Mistresses” about to move into “what if?” territory on an upcoming episode? Judging from what we are seeing from the upcoming August 13 episode entitled “What Could Have Been.” This will mark a chance for Joss to consider the ways in which things could have changed for her had she just gone ahead with that wedding with Scott that was taken place during the second 2 finale. We imagine that Savi would still be around, and that would only be the tip of the iceberg.

ABC recently released the synopsis for this episode; we’ve changed a few things around that we consider to be a little too much of a spoiler, but there are a few good things in here still to check out:

“Karen makes a life-changing decision. Joss considers what her life could have been if she’d chosen Scott instead of Harry. Upset that he can’t visit Joss … Harry focuses his energy into helping his agent Ari instead … Daniel has a mysterious tape that might help Joss.”

Adding to the evidence that there could be some sort of alternate-universe stuff in this episode is the news that we are going to see more of Justin Hartley as Scott in this hour. This could be interesting, but you have to imagine that if she had the feelings for Harry that she does, why does it matter? It would have fallen apart at some point, and what happened at least kept her from prolonging the inevitable.
