‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 spoilers: Famke Janssen joins for mysterious arc

Is the Dark Phoenix rising for the upcoming second season of ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder“? Maybe not, but the actress playing here is.

According to a report from TVLine, Famke Janssen has signed up for a multiple-episode arc on the Pete Nowalk – Shonda Rhimes series, and while ABC is not confirming the role, the source cites a rumor that she will be playing a very formidable defense attorney. Could this be tied to a murder trial revolving something in the first season? That has to be at least a possibility, since a key component of getting away with murder (if you really want to take the title literally, that is) is finding a way to make it through the courts without too much trouble.

While we imagine that the murders of Lila Stangard and Sam Keating are still going to cast a shadow on the upcoming season, to us the biggest mystery is simply what happened to Rebecca to cause her own untimely end. Current rumors suggest that you will have some more information on this subject before you get to the end of the season premiere in September, but even if we know the murderer, that does not mean that we are in the know on all of the details: There could still be quite a big mystery surrounding how something happens.
