‘Under the Dome’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Can Big Jim, Julia stop Christine?
In the latest “Under the Dome” promo for next week’s episode, you can hear the ominous announcer make one thing extremely clear: “Battle lines have been drawn.” On one side of the coin you’ve got Big Jim, Julia, and the rest of the scrappy underdogs, and then you have virtually everyone else controlled by Christine. It feels fairly safe to say that one side has a distinct advantage over the others, and it is hard to envision any sweeping change coming.
“Breaking Point” is the title for the next new installment of the show on CBS, and that seems to be fitting in so many ways given how many times we’ve seen characters already pushed to their limits. If you want to get some other news in terms of what to expect in this episode, the synopsis below is for you:
“Big Jim, Julia, Joe, Norrie and Hunter join together to form a resistance against Christine (Marg Helgenberger), who is mobilizing residents to work on a massive excavation project in the caves underneath the town. Also, Hunter uses his tech skills to contact the outside world.”
Given the advantage that she has at present, we still have a feeling that we are not at the end of the road yet for Christine and her story. There are going to be many stories ahead in which we can witness what some of her larger-scale plans are, and it may take a herculean effort to take her down once and for all.
