‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Have-Nots and a replacement nominee plan

We commended James earlier for having some guts to make big moves on the “Big Brother” live feeds. We’re still not sure if nominating Clay and Shelli will get him further in the game, but it will get him more respect if he makes it all the way to the final two than if he was playing extremely tentatively.

James has done a really good job for the most part with everything that he has said in the past few hours, including naming Have-Nots today. He specifically chose Austin and the twins, which should make for some fun nights in the Have-Not room. While it stinks to be on slop, we feel like Liz and Julia may actually be somewhat grateful to them. It keeps Liz from having to sleep in the same bed as Austin, and with both twins around it’ll be harder for Austin to creep. Also, we wonder if all this time together could lead to an implosion given that Julia hates Austin and is really only putting up with him for now (and barely doing that).

Another great move today was telling Austin in advance that in the event that Shelli or Clay win Veto (or someone takes one of them off), he may need Liz or Julia to be a replacement nominee to ensure that the remaining member of “Clelli” goes home. Austin can appreciate him for the advance warning, and this also motivates him to try to win the Veto and keep the nominations the same. The same goes for if either of the twins win it.

Ultimately, James and Meg have set this week up well so that it really isolates Shelli and Clay, and renders most of their alliance from trying to do something to help them. The nomination ceremony is later today, so we’ll see if the plan comes together.
