‘The Bachelorette’ CarterMatt Podcast: On Kaitlyn Bristowe’s finale, the future with Jessa
“The Bachelorette” finale is now over, and this also means that we are starting to finally look ahead to what the future of the franchise will be. This is something that definitely sounds exciting to us, mostly because we’re ready to move on from what has to be the most boring finale for this show that we have ever seen. Where was the romance? The fireworks? The talk of future wedding plans? How did this turn into the Nick Viall’s rejection hour?
Below, CarterMatt Co-Founders Matt Carter and Jessa Carter go through everything that happened during this finale episode of Kaitlyn’s season, including way too much time spent on Nick Viall’s rejection, what’s next for Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe, and also how the franchise really did not do anyone any favors when it comes to giving us a sense as to what the future could hold for them.
Ultimately, we eventually transition a little into some of the missing links of the finale, whether that be a real Britt Nilsson update segment or a look at the next season of “The Bachelor.” While it seems almost assured that Ben Higgins is going to be the guy at the center of the next season, we have not received any firm proof of that just yet from ABC. We suspect they are saving that announcement for “Bachelor In Paradise” to help boost viewership.
Finally, we go through a few things that really should change on the show moving forward, with one of the biggest ones being getting back to more of the original format that so many people liked in the first place.

Nice Podcast, Jessa and Matt. I wish the best for Kaitlyn and Shawn but, I don’t think they will last. Yes, they seem happy now. But, it’s because the relationship is new. The relationship feels like lust not love. I didn’t see Shawn’s and Kaitlyn romance. I saw DRAMA. It also seemed that Kaitlyn was only interested in Shawn, Nick, and Ben. I agree that she knew that Shawn was the one in Texas. They need to go back to having 4 hometown dates and no more off camera time except for the fantasy suites.

i agree about the no more off camera time, it makes it difficult as a viewers to get further into the story when things aren’t shown but only talked about later. her handlers need to get better at keeping an eye on the cast. I’m not sure if they will last either, but i sure hope they find happiness.
