‘The Bachelorette’ finale: Andi Dorfman on Nick Viall’s heartache

NickGiven that it was one year ago that Andi Dorfman and Nick Viall were front and center for one of the most intense moments in the history of “The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose,” it felt appropriate tonight to get her take on something that certainly feels familiar: Nick getting rejected at the proposal stage for a second time. This came tonight courtesy of Kaitlyn Bristowe, who decided that she wanted to be with Shawn Booth instead of Nick to many fans surprise.

At times throughout the season Andi has been critical of Nick being on the show again, and has made her feelings about him rather clear. There has been no love loss ever since he accused her of sleeping with him last year after she supposedly already knew that she was picking Josh Murray instead. It made Nick into a villain in eyes of many, but to be fair to Nick, he had no other way of asking Andi in private since she rejected every attempt he made off camera to ask this question.

So how is she feeling towards Nick now? She still doesn’t love the guy, but she did express on Twitter tonight a little bit of a sympathy. To go along with that, she also had one of the funnier lines when talking about the Neil Lane engagement ring.

Ultimately, we do hope that Nick takes what happened tonight mostly as a sign that maybe this franchise isn’t right for him. He’s someone who really just doesn’t get along with the other contestants, and he certainly doesn’t come off well on-camera at times. Still, we do have to think that he is more than capable of finding love and that he does care about other people. That’s part of the reason why he gets so emotional in these situations.
