‘The Muppets’ get cheeky with new ABC poster

“The Muppets” are coming to ABC fall, and with its latest poster, the network is doing almost everything in its power to remind you of one thing more than anything else: They really are trying to bring in the funny at almost every second.

The new poster below was recently shared by ABC, and it does more than just feature the show’s September 22 premiere date. More than that, we have the tagline “just another day in Hollywood” to go along with the characters seemingly focusing more on their phones more than each other. This is the most fun that a show has had seemingly with narcissistic behavior since “Selfie,” a show that started off weak but actually became really great before it got canceled.

This is an indication that really throughout the promotional process for this show, the network plans to keep things as cheeky as possible. We really hope that this is a series that finds an audience. Despite having some really great promotion behind it and a premise that brings it firmly into the 21st century, we still don’t think that there are enough people talking about “The Muppets.” We wish there was a way to shout from a megaphone somewhere that these are the same characters you’ve come to love, but in a way that is new, fresh, and very funny.
