‘Falling Skies’ season 5, episode 6 preview: How Noah Wyle, cast move forward in ‘Respite’
As we start to near the end of “Falling Skies” season 5, now is the time for reflecting a little bit, and maybe taking at least a quick breather before the craziness to come. To a certain extent, you may see some of that with Tom Mason on next week’s “Respite.” Noah Wyle’s character is going to be in a very different situation than he is accustomed to, mostly because he will actually have a minute or two to actually imagine what life without war is really like. This could give him a further perspective on what he is fighting for, since it is something that he would almost surely want to experience again in his life at some point.
For some more news in terms of what to expect, check out the episode’s synopsis below:
“Injured, Tom takes refuge with a unique family who has distanced themselves from the fight, giving him a glimpse of life without war. Hal and Isabella’s romance grows as they search for a missing Tom. Meanwhile, The 2nd Mass locates an Espheni device that could be a linchpin to winning the war… if they can figure out how to use it. And Maggie makes a decision that has consequences for her and the entire 2nd Mass.”
Now, let’s just present you with a rather sad reminder: There is only five more episodes left of the entire series. You have to think that there will be a significant amount of battling in some of these installments, and also a finale that leaves people talking.

A show that started out well but then became so clogged with scifi cliches that I’m glad this is the final season.

I just want it to end.
Pope dead, the Espheni dead.
The rest can live or die, I don’t care anymore…just get it done.
