‘Royal Pains’ season 8 spoilers: One piece of welcome news

We have to admit that at some various points in “Royal Pains” season 7, we were worried a little about whether or not we were seeing the end of Jeremiah Sacani on the show. He did not appear in several episodes, and with Divya wanting to be with Raj, we also wondered if there was any reason to hope for her and Ben Shenkman’s character ever getting together. That was one of the things that people wanted to see from him the most on the show.

So after he was not really a part of the finale, our fears escalated. Luckily, they have been doused somewhat by a new Twitter photo from executive producer Michael Rauch, which clearly features Shenkman on set along with Mark Feuerstein. This means that Jeremiah will be a part of season 8! Rejoice to that; hardly is this that surprising, but it is still very welcome to know that we don’t have anything to worry about there.

It has not necessarily been confirmed that season 8 is the show’s last, but given the way USA ordered both it and season 7 as eight-episode bunches, we have to at least approach it with the possibility that it could be. Therefore, we have to start envisioning in our head how we want to see characters like Jeremiah and Hank end up. Obviously it would be great for the both of them if they find love in a way that could last, but we also don’t necessarily think that it is essential to their happiness, either. They just need to feel secure in their career and who they are as people; both of these characters have struggled at times with the latter.

The eighth season of “Royal Pains” should premiere in the summer of 2016 on USA.
