‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Vanessa and the Sixth Sense turn on a dime
Tonight has officially been a banner night as far as the “Big Brother” live feed goes. there has been so much craziness and entertainment in a short amount of time, and there is little for us to do as a result other than smile. While we’re not so in love with the idea of Austin staying (at least on the level that he is in love with Liz), this has produced fantastic live feeds and it gives us a chance to get rid of a much more boring player.
Earlier, we told you a little about how some of the night’s craziness included Vanessa catching Austin in another lie, only to then talk to Liz about it and figure out the truth about what she feels about him. As a result of this, coupled with her speculation about the other side, what she has realized at least for now is this: While Austin is shady, he’s not maliciously going after anyone in the Sixth Sense. He most did stupid things to try and save someone he cares for, even though she does not love him back. We do rag on Austin on this a lot (and deservedly so), but Liz is also afraid of being upfront with him because she doesn’t want to burn that bridge.
With all of this in mind, Vanessa, Shelli, and Clay are fine giving off the impression now that they have told Austin he is going up and likely going home, but in reality they are planning to target someone else to lessen the strength of that side of the house. We could see Jackie go up despite Vanessa’s “deal” with her for the week, or maybe someone like Meg if they want to ensure that Becky goes home this week.
If we were in the Sixth Sense and we decided that we are keeping Austin, we’d personally target Jason because he is smart and could do really well in competitions with his back against the wall. He’s also close with Meg and James.
Before we go for now, a side note: Meg and Jason are now calling themselves “the Goblins,” which is is the second straight season where we have someone naming alliances that were already done in “Big Brother Canada.” The Goblins were the alliance name for Ashleigh and Pilar; meanwhile, Pao Pao last year tried to get “El Quatro” going.
Update: For those curious, minutes after we posted this Vanessa went back to wanting to nominate Austin unless he gives her a real reason not to do so.
