‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: A look inside a familiar destination
While this may not come as much of a surprise to anyone, we still find it very welcoming almost like a fresh slice of pie: Granny’s Diner will once again be a big part of “Once Upon a Time” season 5.
In the post on Twitter below, executive producer Adam Horowitz confirmed that we’re going to seeing the famed diner in the early going during the season. Sadly, his image is a little too far away to really tell who the two women are who are sitting there. We’ve heard the names Maleficent and Lily tossed about, but we cannot see closely enough to confirm that. For now, we are mostly just happy with the fact that we are going to be seeing this particular part of Storybrooke once again. It’s almost both public and private at the same time, and you never know for certain who is going to show up.
Sadly, this tease does very little to answer what is one other burning question we’ve had for some time: Are we going to see more of Meghan Ory as Red / Ruby? there is a book coming out about the character this fall, and now feels like the time to bring her back … especially if we are seeing more of Granny’s. Unfortunately, there are not really any signs one way or another that it is happening just yet.
The new season of “Once Upon a Time” premieres on September 27, and if there are a few words we’d use to describe this season, they would be “Camelot” and “Dark Swan” … at least so far.
