‘Under the Dome’ season 3 spoilers: The group unites against Christine

Is there some conflict ahead on “Under the Dome” season 3? It seems almost as though there is almost always conflict on this show, and this season more than ever given that we have Christine doing her best to try to run things. She will continue to hold at least some power moving into the next new episode, and judging from the synopsis below from the upcoming August 6 episode “Breaking Point,” it appears as though there could be some sort of way to take her down a notch:

“Big Jim, Julia, Joe, Norrie and Hunter join together to form a resistance against Christine (Marg Helgenberger), who is mobilizing residents to work on a massive excavation project in the caves underneath the town. Also, Hunter uses his tech skills to contact the outside world.”

As we get closer and closer to the end of the season, we imagine that there are going to be some more surprises, some more battles, and also Christine making some sort of last stand. Even if you’ve got the likes of Jim, Julia, and others coming after her, this is someone who we’ve clearly learned has her own set of motivations and will probably not stray from them.

We just hope that as we get near the end of the season, some of these motivations become even clearer. We like the whole meteor shower story happening right now, and for the most part we do think that season 3 is an improvement over a great second season.
