‘The Bachelorette’ finale spoilers: Relive Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth, and Nick Viall’s journey
With the season finale of “The Bachelorette” airing on ABC Monday night, the show is doing just about everything that they can to remind us that there will be romance, arguing, and of course plenty of DRAMA before we get to the end. Would they have it any other way?
For the most part, though, we have to say that the new sneak peek below (via Entertainment Weekly) is mostly just a window into how much regurgitation we are really going to see on the show in the finale. They have to fill up two hours with about thirty minutes worth of actual content. There are some family visits involving those close to Kaitlyn Bristowe, individual dates, and then slow segments where you see the guys get dressed (prepare for shirtless shots) while pulling out some ring that they’ve borrowed from Neil Lane for the time being. Meanwhile, Kaitlyn will be staring off into the distance, one of the show’s signature shots that very few people actually do in real life.
As of now, the favorite has to be Shawn. Nick has not received the best edit in the known world here, but Shawn still has come off better. Remember that the show could’ve included the whole “sex with Nick” segment without lingering over the hotel room door and forcing us to hear really uncomfortable sounds coming from the other side. We still have nightmares thinking about it. Okay, not really … but close enough.
Whatever happens during the bloated finale will carry over to the “After the Final Rose” special, which could be really entertaining in the event that Nick is not picked for the second straight season. Sure, a part of us will feel bad for him getting hurt twice on TV, but the guy did put himself in that position!
