‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Ludacris to guest star
Remember what we’ve said as of late about “Empire” having a huge cast of extremely famous people for its second season? Well, that list is only continuing to expand.
As revealed in a post on Instagram, Ludacris has revealed that he is joining the Fox drama for its upcoming season season. Yes, we do now know exactly who is character is, but the photo of him alongside Lucious Lyon (Terence Howard) in prison suggests here that we are looking at him as either some sort of police officer or uniformed employee behind bars (which are at least close to being the same thing). It’s a great gig for Ludacris, given that outside of music these days the majority of his acting roles come simply as a result of “The Fast and the Furious” movie series.
Ludacris is joining a guest cast that includes the likes of Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, and a variety of other big-name performers. We’re still torn on whether or not casting the show like this is a good thing or not. While one positive is that you are able to recruit a huge number of potential new fans, are the big names going to be a distraction? Plus, it’s not like that many people really knew about the cast and crew of this show beforehand like they were A-listers before season 1 premiered.
“Empire” returns to Fox on September 23 with new episodes. Remember here that in the event you want some more news on the show, our simple suggestion is to head over here to watch the first promo.
