‘Gotham’ season 2 video: See Tigress, Jerome, and more in new promo

Villains are coming to “Gotham” in season 2 … even though there were quite a few who were there in the first place.

Today, Fox unveiled one of the latest lengthy promos for the upcoming second season of the series, and there were a variety of memorable moments throughout it. Let’s start first and foremost with the total number of villains in a very short period of time: You’ve got Jerome a.k.a. possibly the Joker, you’ve got the Riddler, Victor Zsasz, the Penguin, and even some newcomers like Theo Galvan and Tigress. We know that Harvey Dent is also going to be present during the second season, but we are probably not going to see him become Two-Face anytime soon unless the writers decide that they want to start to seriously mess with the canon.

“Gotham” ended season 2 on an interesting note, with Fish Mooney seemingly falling to her death and Oswald taking control of Gotham thanks to Falcone’s retirement. This allows him a chance to reign supreme in the second season, but we imagine that he will discover this is not anywhere so easy a task as he first imagined it would be. Nothing is ever so easy as you would think.

For the most part, we think that the upcoming second season has so much more potential to be a step in the right direction. There were some issues in the first season, but this marks a chance to make a big step in the direction of what fans want to see (i.e. don’t make the Batman references so obvious).
