Jon Stewart auctioning off many ‘Daily Show’ suits before departure
Jon Stewart clearly has gained a lot of experience after working on “The Daily Show” for so many years, and to go along with that, he has also apparently accumulated quite a few suits! How else do you explain the fact that he is auctioning off a good chunk of his wardrobe for charity?
As reported by The Guardian, Stewart has put up 19 of the suits that he has worn throughout the show onto eBay, with the proceeds of the auction going to Achilles International, which is a cause that helps out injured athletes. We’re not exactly surprised to see Stewart trying to give back after all of the good fortune that he has had over the years with his Comedy Central show. We’ve seen him stand up for a number of causes over the years, including being a part of the Night of Too Many Starts event on this network.
We imagine that Stewart still does have a nice reserve of suits for at least a little while, given that there are still more than two weeks of show still to go before we make it to the end of the road for Jon. Trevor Noah will eventually replace him on “The Daily Show,” but not before we get a chance to see some other great interviews and hopefully funny bits.
One other thing we’re hoping for? Appearances from some of his notable alum, which include Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, John Oliver, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, and many more.
