‘The Bachelorette’ finale spoilers: Nick Viall, Shawn Booth meet Kaitlyn Bristowe’s family

Family visits are integral to “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” when you get to the end of a season, and this time around is no exception … even if we don’t really know anything at all about Kaitlyn Bristowe’s family. For one reason or another, the series has not been that interested giving us details about them or really any of our leading lady’s life away from the show.

Yet, these meetings are still happening, and we also imagine that they are going to be awkward at times and interesting at others. You’ve got a guy, after all, in Nick Viall who has a less-than-stellar reputation thanks to Andi Dorfman’s season, but at the same time someone who seems to clearly love Kaitlyn. How will the family react to that? Based on the synopsis below, he’s the person to be more uncertain about than Shawn Booth at the moment:

“The family is first introduced to an extremely nervous Nick. Kaitlyn’s mom expresses her concern about Nick’s reputation as an unfriendly, overconfident man. Will he be able to convince her family that he is in love with the Bachelorette and he really is a nice guy? Next, Shawn attempts to dissuade Kaitlyn’s family that his reputation for having an intense jealous streak won’t get in the way of his love for their daughter.”

One fascinating part of all of this to us is that this is the first time in recent years that the final Rose Ceremony has been in Los Angeles. We of course wondering if this is tied into why the show spent so much time in Ireland and if there was a last-minute production change. We’ve already seen evidence suggesting that the series likes to make these ceremonies somewhat more exotic.
