‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 spoilers: ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actor set for role

The second season of “How to Get Away with Murder” is starting to get filming underway, which means of course that this is the time we are learning a thing or two more about some of the new faces populating Annalise Keating’s world.

Today, this means finding out more information when it comes to Kendrick Sampson. According to Deadline, the “Vampire Diaries” and “Gracepoint” alum is going to recur across several episodes including the premiere … but that is all that is really known. Much like another Shonda Rhimes series in “Scandal,” “How to Get Away with Murder” is incredibly secretive about some of their castings and plot details. This is a little different than “Grey’s Anatomy,” which will often at least inform you who someone is playing when casting information is released.

Then again, there are more reasons for secrets in Keating’s world. For one, this show only runs for 15 episodes, and there is a lot less room for filler as a result of that. Also, it is much more serialized than “Grey’s Anatomy”; while there are still individual cases for Annalise and company to take on, they are not what the entire series revolves around by any means.

“How to Get Away with Murder” season 2 will begin airing new episodes this fall, and one of the big storylines is obviously still going to be the aftermath to the Lila Stangard and Sam Keating murders. Just because we’re starting to get some distance does not mean that these are going to fade into the background in the slightest. Sure, there will also be some new stories that take some of their attention away.
