‘Supergirl’ spoilers: Now casting Reactron!

Kara -Just in case you were interested in learn more about some of the villains soon to turn up on “Supergirl” this season, we come bearing news! Specifically, we’ve got some more insight on a certain someone in Reactron who could be poised to cause a great deal of damage to anyone who stands in his way.

Per TVLine, this character will surface in the third episode of the season, and they are an opponent of Superman’s who may be coming on this show to try to take out some of his wrath on her for some reason. Maybe he was in town on a business trip and just wanted to cause a little bit of carnage? For those who are curious, the character did actually first surface in a Supergirl comic, co it makes sense that he would appear here. In terms of powers, he has the ability to generate nuclear power from his body, and can concentrate it into a powerful blast.

The casting of this character does raise a little bit of a larger question when it comes to the show as a whole, and that is whether or not we are going to have just a rotating panel of villains every single week. We wouldn’t read too much into whether or not the show is being turned into a full-blown procedural, though, based on its first few weeks. If you go back and look at the first seasons of “Arrow” and “The Flash,” it took at least five or six episodes to get to the point where the larger story started to really get going.

“Supergirl” will premiere on CBS come October. Once we have some other news on the subject of the series, we’ll have it for you at the link here.
