‘Ink Master’ season 6, episode 5 podcast: Should artists be eliminated for not fulfilling a challenge?
This was an enraging episode of “Ink Master” season 6 for us over here at CarterMatt because the judges have gone back to their old ways again leaving us super frustrated as they play favorites. The inconsistency with the judging has always been a major thorn in our side when it comes to this show, but last season and for the first few weeks of this season the judges have been on point with their criticism and we suspected that maybe some of the viewer feedback gave them the kick in the you-know-what to focus on sending people home for things that have to do with the actual challenge that week.
CarterMatt co-founder Jessa and art expert Bart will be taking a hard look at the judging this week. After watching Miami get sent home for not fulfilling a challenge two weeks ago and Kruseman being given a free pass to stay for doing the same thing is driving us crazy… like foaming at the mouth crazy. How can someone that didn’t fulfill the challenge be going on to compete when another artist went home for the exact same thing? It’s wildly unfair and for that, we would like to see Miami come back.
We will also be taking a look at Earl’s elimination tattoo. Was the wolf the worst tattoo of the day? It wasn’t great, but should a rough tattoo go home over someone who made the decision not to complete the challenge? We really don’t think so. There will also be an in depth chat about how incredibly cool the flash challenge was and that as good as St. Marq is, there are a lot of artists here that are giving him a run for his money – it is still anybody’s game to win.
