‘Fargo’ season 2 unveils another teaser, later premiere date
Given that FX has not actually confirmed a premiere date for season 2 of “Fargo,” it is understandable that not too many people are making a big deal out of a slight change in premiere date.
Still, we do at least still want you to know that the premiere has shifted back now from September (as it was seen in some recent promos) to October. The latest teaser from the network, which features what appears at first to be a very cute snowman (the ending is far less cute), confirms this. FX has also updated many of their other already-released promos to reflect this date.
We’re not going to make too much out of any potential delay. To us, it seems like a smart move to let some of the major TV networks have their moment in late September, and then have your own individual time to shine. Maybe by the time this airs, some out there may already be disillusioned with what is out there among the Big Four networks.
Personally, we really don’t care when the show airs so much as just the fact that it does. “Fargo” somehow still feels underrated to us despite the awards and critical acclaim; maybe it is because its story is more straightforward than something abstract like “True Detective,” but this is a world and era we are looking very much forward to seeing once again. This time around, we are jumping back several decades in time to focus on a very different story vaguely referenced during season 1.
