‘The Flash’ alum Rick Cosnett finds new life on ABC’s ‘Quantico’
It has to be difficult to leave a show that you love, especially when this said show happens to be “The Flash.” The CW carved out a magnificent entry into our TV landscape with Barry Allen’s adventures, and Rick Cosnett was a big part of that as Eddie Thawne. Throughout most of the season, many thought he would become the Reverse Flash. Even after Harrison Wells a.k.a. Eobard Thawne was revealed to be the Man in Yellow, there was still a tiny part of our brain that he may someday inherit the title.
Well, that didn’t happen. Eddie died during the season 1 finale, attempting to be a hero and proving to his love Iris West and also himself that he was not necessarily to be defined by what Eobard told him about his future. He was not destined to become a forgotten member of the family, after all.
Today, we are pleased to report that Cosnett has landed another TV role in not much time at all in ABC’s “Quantico.” He was unable to score a regular gig on a new series due to the timing of it all (he had to keep his character’s fate a secret until after the episode aired), but now has a recurring part on this upcoming spy drama as Elias Harper, a former defense attorney who will be recruited into the FBI. In many ways, this is a key part of what this story is about.
Elias, other than having a cool name, is also said, per TVLine, to possess a great sense of humor. He is also an openly gay character, adding even more diversity to the cast.
