‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 7 preview: What’s next for Callie and AJ?

Are we already on board the Callie – AJ train on “The Fosters“? Maybe it is a little early to say that, but we can at least say with some confidence right now that the two have some fans out there. We’ve seen them on Twitter and in comment threads!

This is definitely a different sort of relationship for Maia Mitchell’s character than any she has had before. We can tell that AJ has a good heart, but he just has not had a lot of guidance in his life as to when to do and say the right things. Stef, Lena, and Mike are some of the most positive adults he’s been around, and that is helping him show off his true self … who just so happens to love drawing people as superhero’s. He’s also super-fond of Callie and he turned her crazy birthday party around after the fight with Brandon.

Sooner or later, we do imagine that Brandon is going to have his say in all of this, and there is no guarantee in the long term that AJ and her even become anything more than people with feelings for each other. Still, this is something worth watching over the course of the weeks ahead, and the sneak peek below is a rather sweet one just when thinking about how their relationship has developed over time.

We’ll probably get some immediate answers when it comes to their romantic future as a part of Monday night’s new episode. We’ll be back with a review after it airs.
