‘Longmire’ season 4 celebration happens this weekend at Longmire Days

Longmire -While we were not at Longmire Days over the course of this weekend, we did want to at least get something out there on the internet in celebration of its annual existence. This is an event that is held in Buffalo, Wyoming, and the entire town goes all-out to immortalize the work of Craig Johnson and the accompanying TV show, which is coming on Netflix with season 4 this fall. While the series films in New Mexico, much of its heart and soul lies in this part of the country.

Among those in attendance this year were series stars Robert Taylor (Walt Longmire) and Adam Bartley (The Ferg) along with Johnson, and there were events that included everything from discussions of the show to even a parade, which had Taylor as the grand marshal. We love how the event stays in Buffalo, and this allows the area to get some more public attention and tourism as a result.

We feel like this is an event that could continue as a tribute to the books and the show even if it was off the air, but the fan campaign that went into a season 4 happening makes it all the sweeter this time around. Filming is already complete, and now we are just in that period of time where work is being done in post, and we are subsequently waiting to see when Netflix decides to premiere it.

In some ways, the streaming provider has a pretty open period of time to decide on a date. We’ve already debated this subject at length, but they don’t have to worry too much about it being overshadowed with another release. Most of Netflix’s other high-profile shows, including “House of Cards,” “Daredevil,” “Orange Is the New Black,” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” have already come out.

You better believe we’ll have more news on “Longmire” as we get closer to the premiere. For now, head over to this link if you want to get some other TV news on all we cover, sent right to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Netflix.)
