‘Poldark’ episode 5 preview (PBS): More on Ross and Demelza’s; Francis’ latest gaffe

Are you fully immersed in the world of “Poldark“? The first four episodes have moved the story along rather quickly, and there will at least be a few moments during the fifth episode on Sunday night where things will start to settle in for at least one or two characters. With that being said, though, there is still going to be plenty of action! There are moments of humor, of hope, and of heartbreak over the second half of the season, and we are back today bringing to you are customary four teases on what you can expect. Note that there are only minor spoilers ahead; we don’t give anything away!

1. Much of the story tonight revolves around a newcomer to the world of the show, and someone who draws great admiration in particular from Ross and Demelza. After some uncertainty in the early going, their relationship has solidified.

2. Prepare to see more of Ross in a leadership position, trying to unite a labor force long before the days of unions. Unfortunately, he may come to realize that the world of the mines is far more complicated than he first imagined.

3. Verity is going to have a key role in this episode, and Demelza could have a key role to play in how she spends time with at least one other important character to the show.

4. Francis is going to continue to do silly, silly things. We really want to believe that this guy has the capacity to get everything together, but time and time again he continues to make baffling decisions. This is just the time of the iceberg.
