‘Fuller House’ spoilers: Scott Weinger is returning as Steve
Just in case anyone was wondering whether or not all hope was lost for DJ Tanner on “Fuller House” when it comes to Steve, here’s some news that we can offer you: Scott Weinger is indeed going to be coming aboard the Netflix revival of the long-running comedy. Weinger himself confirmed the news in the tweet HERE.
Given what we know about this series already, there is hope that something could happen here for the time. The story of “Fuller House” revolves in part around DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) as they try to raise their kids as single moms, and with that, maybe Steve could come and change things up for the former! There’s no word specifically on who is the father of DJ’s kids, but we don’t get the sense that it would be Steve and the show would gloss over all of that time and history.
“Fuller House” is ultimately one of those shows we could see either becoming an enormous hit for Netflix, or something that never should have happened in the first place. It’s impressive that they have been able to convince Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Jodie Sweetin, and many others to appear (John Stamos is an executive producer), but the Olsen Twins are still MIA and this is a show that is largely nostalgia fuel. Not everything necessarily works when you catapult it into the future, and you really do have to remember that at the moment.
There is no specific premiere date yet for this show, but we anticipate it coming back at some point early next year.
