‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Sarah Paulson on villain preparation

American Horror Story -If you love “American Horror Story” as much as we do, there is a heck of a lot to look forward to in the coming months. The series is starting production, and it will be back on the air with some more scares and surprises in October. One of the biggest ones almost right away here is the mere notion that for the first time really ever, Sarah Paulson will be playing someone evil. We know that her name is Hypodermic Sally (odd but somehow wonderful), and we also know that there is probably something to that name beyond just the superficial.

As for how she is preparing for the part, let’s just say that Paulson has a good mentor in Jessica Lange. Here is what she added onto this in a new interview with E! News:

“I’m looking forward to stealing as many of Jessica Lange’s acting styles and ways so I can just make sure that I’ve got all the perfectly delicious, villainous attributes that she was able to do. And then infusing it with such emotion and power and all that. I’m hoping to just reflect on all my time of getting to act with her and just steal as much of it as I possibly can and pass it off as my own.”

One of the things about this show in particular that makes it so impossibly hard to tease is that it is for the most part very fluid. For example, we thought at one point last year that Twisty the Clown would be around most of the season, and he only had a few episodes to really shine. Who knows if Sally will be evil throughout for sure?

If you missed it, we spoke to Finn Wittrock earlier this week about his nomination. Head over to the link here for more on that, and you can sign up here to score some more TV news on all we cover, courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: FX.)
