‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Emilia Clarke on story’s relentless nature

Game of ThronesThis week has certainly been a rewarding one for Emilia Clarke, given that she just received an Emmy nomination for her role on “Game of Thrones” season 5. Now, she and many other cast members are preparing for a sixth season that is largely shrouded in mystery in a way few others are.

One of the other great things about her getting the Emmy nod is that it allows for more interviews, including one with the Los Angeles Times in which she expresses some gratitude for the nomination. Not only that, but she also does share her reaction to getting some of the scripts in for what lies ahead. It does not look at all like there is going to be any sort of buildup to some of the huge episodes moving forward:

“I’ve said this before, but there’s a lot of season where you need to (rightly so) kind of need to set the scene. And you have a couple of episodes where you’re like, “OK, feeding information, I get it. We’re finding out about this person. And we know about that person. And oh, there’s that person.” But this season coming up, that we’re about to film, there’s none of that. It’s just go, go, go, go. Shocking moment to shocking moment. Epic moment to epic moment. It’s mental; it’s epic.”

Can you imagine if every episode of the show is like “Hardhome”? There is a good chance that our head could seriously explode, and that would be a heck of a lot of fun to witness. We’ll find out when the season premieres come the spring of next year.
