‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: A time jump and a new character

At the moment, “Agents of SHIELD” is not trying to do anything different when it comes to their spoiler policy. In other words, don’t expect many details about what is coming up in advance. This is a show that doesn’t just like its secrecy; really, it seems to almost revel in it.

With that in mind, why not talk about a new character based only on a few select details? According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, the show is going to introduce a mysterious woman who will be a powerful counterpart to him. What the major mystery will be is whether or not she is someone who will help him, or become a major opponent.

One other piece of news the site reports comes via a time jump. There are going to be at least a couple of months between seasons, which for the most part really should not be much of a surprise at all. Think about it this way: There are a few months between seasons airing, and it makes sense to speed things along. Of course, this means that Simmons in particular could be in very interesting places by the time the show comes on the air. Also, what will happen to Skye / Daisy Johnson with the whole Secret Warriors story?

The third season of “Agents of SHIELD” will pick up this fall, and we imagine the show will at least give us some casting news before then. After all, they did at least tell us last year about the appearance of Lucy Lawless in the premiere episode … even if she didn’t stick around long beyond that.
