‘CSI’ series finale: Elisabeth Shue also not returning for two-hour movie
Who imagined that we would be getting so much news in a short span of time over who is not returning for “season 16” of “CSI,” which is really just a two-hour movie that is closing the door on the entire franchise.
Mere minutes after we first heard that George Eads is not going to be reprising his role as Nick Stokes, Entertainment Weekly is now claiming that we are not going to be getting any more of Julie Finlay, either. Here is the part of this we don’t quite understand: Since this is the end of the series, wouldn’t you want to get the gang together if at all possible? We don’t get any inclination that it was the show who wanted to keep Eads or Shue away; we even though that the script is having to be rewritten so that some of the parts with Nick involved are removed.
We also don’t want to speculate too much as to the reason why all of this is happening, mostly because no information out there is verified and you do have to try to be fair to most of the parties involved.
So with this news in mind, let’s just go ahead and mention who will be returning. The show does have back original stars Marg Helgenberger and William Peterson, which should go along way to make up for some of the exits. Given that Ted Danson will be moving over to “CSI: Cyber” once this movie is over, it is also fair to say that he is also going to more than likely have some sort of a presence here.
What do you think about this latest stunner? Let us know in the comments.

If there is CSI Cyber, it’s not “closing the door on the entire franchise.”
