‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 6 spoilers: Who is seeing UFOs on an upcoming episode?

Is there a crossover episode between “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Falling Skies” coming up at some point in the near future? Not exactly, but somehow aliens could be finding their way into an upcoming episode of the TNT crime series courtesy of the Frankie character. Specifically, we are talking about the upcoming July 28 episode entitled “A Bad Seed Grows,” and the synopsis below offers up some details in terms of what to expect:

“When a sixteen-year-old girl is murdered and left in a cage, Jane and Maura must overcome the ethical dilemma of a psychiatrist and the stiff opposition of a fussy prosecutor in order to find the killer. Meanwhile, Jane has couch issues, and Frankie is seeing UFOs.”

Timing-wise, we feel like a UFO story is probably what we need in terms of humor for this episode for two very specific reasons:

1. It sounds like the murder case is going to be incredibly serious in this episode, and sometimes you need a little bit of balance to make the more difficult parts of the story easier to digest.

2. Also, we are coming off one of the more difficult episodes of the entire series’ run. It’s going to take some time for viewers to get over what happened to Susie, and this was a character death that took us completely by surprise.

3. Just to make matters worse, you also have to remember that there is a chance another important character could be put in serious danger by the end of the summer portion of the season. Let’s just hope that the writers are not so cruel as to do away with two beloved people within the span of a few months’ time.
