‘Bachelor in Paradise’ scores aftershow co-hosted by Chris Harrison

Paradise -Just in case you really did not feel like you were getting enough of “Bachelor in Paradise” proper during the show itself, we now come bearing this news: There is also going to be an aftershow coming starting following the second night of the two-day premiere on August 3.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, this show is called “After Paradise,” and it will feature Chris Harrison talking to author / actress Jenny Mollen about everything that happened in the episode, some of the relationships, and more. This is the first major attempt we’ve seen for a broadcast network to try to get in on this aftershow craze. This was started first and foremost by shows like “Talking Dead” and “Watch What Happens Live,” and it has spread throughout cable to a huge level. Sure, there is one “Survivor” reunion a season, and that is more or less it.

We’re really not sure if this will work for “Bachelor in Paradise,” mostly because of the fact that this show may not be that highly-rated for one, and then to go along with it this is also a show that may take itself a little too seriously. “Talking Dead” is a discussion about a serious show, and it is so easy to be cynical about something like “Bachelor in Paradise.”

For those wondering whether or not this is some sort of move to strike against “UnREAL” on Lifetime, we really don’t think so thanks to the fact that this show will be almost over at around the time that this premieres.

For now, do you think that there is any way at all that this sort of aftershow could work?
