‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Is there trouble brewing for Clay and Shelli?

Through most of the week in the “Big Brother 17” house, we have witnessed a relatively quiet period. It’s fairly clear who is leaving the game Thursday in Jeff, so there is not much in the way of serious campaigning or strategy happening at the moment.

However, we are starting to get a little bit of gamesmanship going on, at least in that Austin and Vanessa are starting to test the waters of their relationship with Shelli and Clay. They’ve discussed the fact that Audrey seems to have some sort of deal with them, and that they may have had something with Jeff, Jackie, and John as well at some point. They’re at least recognizing the fact that they have many fairly close allies in the house, and that is something that they will need to watch out for as the game goes on. We still think that their primary targets have to be the Jason / Meg / James trio, since that’s the only way that Austin / Vanessa or Clay / Shelli could be in enormous danger right away come Thursday night.

What makes all of this fascinating is that there is no clear Derrick in the group, since they all have distinct weaknesses we’re seeing. Clay and Shelli are so obviously a pair that it is dangerous, and Clay already has a reputation for being a little sketchy and willing to tell Shelli anything. Meanwhile, Vanessa has talked way too much this week, and Austin’s getting way too possessive over the twins / getting annoyed with people spending time with them … even Steve! Steve’s a potential ally of his. Vanessa has done a good job of solidifying her own pact with the guy, though, for their secret “Students of Sound” alliance.

Maybe tonight will be crazier as Jeff starts to enter last-minute campaign mode. Time will tell there.
