‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 6 spoilers: Someone will be danger during midseason finale

Is the cast of TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles” about to lose someone? We’re not going to go that far, but based on some of what we are hearing at the moment it does appear that at least one character is going to have his or her life hanging in the balance by the time we get to the end of the summer. This is a move that the show has done before, but we don’t mind them going back to it now. It’s effective!

In setting up a little bit of what this story will be to TV Guide, executive producer Jan Nash gives us an idea that reminds us heavily of the sort of situation we saw Jane in during the last midseason finale:

“It’s an idea we had last year where somebody from the team is in deadly peril and we’ll come back and see how we save them,”

Can we understand saying that these cliffhangers are really cheesy, since for the most part the odds are extremely low that said person is actually going to die? Sure, but we don’t think that this is the sort of show where you really want to see that anyway. Maybe it’s possible and we will lose someone, but part of the fun here at least to us is watching the journey, and seeing how a particular rescue mission is figured out.
