‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Isaac Hempstead Wright officially returning as Bran

Bran -For all of those wondering whether or not we were ever going to see more of Bran Stark on “Game of Thrones,” we now have an official answer: Yes. It’s definitely going to happen! Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays the character, was pretty clear on the subject in an interview with the Irish Examiner: “I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions.”

It made sense that we would get Bran back after a year off. The only reason for the hiatus is that because of the show’s habit for including characters in as many seasons in possible, he had progressed towards his natural end in the story a little bit faster than anyone else. Thanks to that, there was some spare time. It didn’t make sense to start to surge him forward, so just imagine that he and Hodor were off chilling with the Children for some time and honing Bran’s powers.

Speaking of Hodor, we have to believe that he is also going to be back in some capacity, as well. The real question here is just what sort of role he will play. He is somewhat distant from the rest of the cast at the moment, both in terms of his location and the knowledge he has of them. Yet, he is one of the few people with the capability to do magical things.

Of course, one other question we are left to wonder is whether or not Bran resurfacing could mean that we also get some more of other beloved characters. Isn’t it time that we get a little bit of Gendry or Rickon? We think so!
