‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Professor Zoom will be new big bad

If you thought that the Reverse Flash meant business, then it is very well possible that you have not seen anything just yet. The second season of “The Flash” is premiering on The CW on October 6, and there are some crazy things coming based on the show’s first Comic-Con teaser. Specifically, we’re talking here in terms of Professor Zoom.

Based on the video below, we have a pretty clear indication that this villain, who possesses super-speed on a level that neither The Flash nor the Reverse Flash can touch, is going to be the major villain of the upcoming second season. His appearance is surrounded by some other teasers: Caitlin is unsure if she can return to STAR Labs, weird things are happening with Cisco, and Jay Garrick is going to appear to warn Barry of some very terrible times that are coming up for him. While the first season may be over, the craziest of things are still to come.

Teddy Sears of “Masters of Sex” fame is going to be playing the part of Garrick, while Shantel VanSanten will play Patty Spivot, Joe West’s new partner who harbors some feelings for Barry. She will not know he is the Flash, and this is the character who was originally called “Wendy” in some casting notices.

As for some other teasers, be prepared for more Grodd this season, Harrison Wells existing potentially as Harrison Wells, Wally West will turn up at some point, and Danielle Panabaker is hoping for a chance to dive more into Killer Frost. No confirmation on that right now.
