‘True Detective’ season 2, episode 4: Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell on construction of story

The fourth episode of “True Detective” season 2 airs on Sunday night, and if there is anything that the cast wants you to know going into this event, it is that everyone is committed in their own way to making sure that this story is a success. That is said even more so for the man behind all of the individual scripts.

What is rather interesting about this video is that while you do hear quite a bit about Nic Pizzolatto throughout the video, we still somehow do not see a whole lot of Nic himself. The man is extremely enigmatic, a talented writer but also someone who prefers to allow his work to for the most part speak for itself. He’s not craving the spotlight. The true anchors of this video are stars Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch, who take you through all of the paces of what is going on behind the scenes, and the admiration that they all have of Nic for his dedication to the characters.

In terms of spoilers, you are not going to find many here. Instead, this is more of a peek into the series’ soul, of what makes some of these people interesting and how the story is going to be set up in a way where all of them are immersed into dark corners of the Los Angeles area. Like with season 1, the location here is very much a setting.
