‘The Bachelorette’ video: Watch Ben Higgins, Jared Haibon pack Joe Bailey’s stuff

There are so many different aspects of “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” that you never get to see, and there is of course a burning curiosity even over the little things sometimes … including watching to see a little bit more of what happens after someone is sent home.

That is what makes the deleted scene below from Monday night’s new episode all the more fun. In this one, Chris Harrison arrives at the guys’ hotel to tell Ben Higgins and Jared Haibon that Kaitlyn Bristowe has sent Joe Bailey home. Therefore, they are tasked with trying to pack up all of his stuff, since he was not prepared for the possibility and assumed he would probably have until at least the rose ceremony to try and plead his case. There are to us at least two things that are distinctively awkward about watching how all of this goes down.

1. The fact that Chris Harrison speaks out doing this like it is the most serious thing in the world. Seriously, Chris: Would it hurt you at all to crack a smile at one point or another? It’s fun to show that you are capable of goofing around a little bit.

2. The fact that Jared and Ben have to really spend time on Joe’s worst day having to pack up the guy’s underwear and a ton of other things that they would probably not want to actually be touching.

Of course, Jared was sent home later in the episode, but at least he had the time presumably to pack up his stuff beforehand.
