‘Supergirl’ spoilers: The latest on possible ‘Arrow’ / ‘The Flash’ crossovers
If you have been a frequent CarterMatt reader over the past several months, then you know very well already of how we would love to see some sort of epic crossover event take place between “Supergirl,” “Arrow,” and “The Flash.” We’re not so interested in something that ties too much into the main story for any of them (it should not be a requirement to have to watch all of them to know what is going on), but we are very curious in seeing what it would look like getting Barry Allen and Oliver Queen around someone like Kara Danvers, who is easily one of the most powerful people they will have met so far in their lives.
We already know already the Greg Berlanti likes to imagine all three shows living within the same universe, though we also do not get the sense that CBS is really that keen on having their show cross over with something on The CW. For the time being, all parties involved are being very coy, but “Supergirl” executive producer Ali Adler tells Entertainment Weekly that they are not writing the possibility out just yet:
“It’s an easier conversation when you’re on the same network. We just want to really debut her and platform her and her strength. In success, we hope to explore all possibilities.”
We feel like if this could happen, maybe it would be a great event for the February sweeps. Our own crazy brain wants to envision it as a possible Super Bowl show given that CBS has the big game this year, but we really cannot imagine CBS using some of their Super Bowl air time to promote things that are not even on their network, even if they are partial owners in The CW.
For now, we just better prepare to enjoy “Supergirl” for what it is when it premieres on October 26.

CBS already airs adverts for CW shows regularly. CBS and The CW also share a lot of the same ad sales team. It’s not as big a deal logistically as you’d think.
