‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: An update on Scuba Steve

We feel like we are probably the only person calling Steve on “Big Brother 17” Scuba Steve, but we feel like it is appropriate beyond just the obvious “Big Daddy” reference. Here you have a guy who is really playing this game almost entirely underneath the surface, only coming up for air here and there to talk with select people.

As of right now we’d say that his closest “ally” is Vanessa, and with her as Head of Household, it makes it easy to get and receive information. Tonight, he passed along more information about almost everyone being on to the Twin Twist. However, there are discussions about how to inform other people of specifics. While Steve has his alliance in “Freaks and Geeks” that includes Vanessa, Austin, and the twins (all of these people sat down for a discussion tonight, with of course only one twin present). What he doesn’t know is that these same people are working with Shelli and Clay, and they have to keep track of what they tell him, and what he could tell Shelli and Clay later. It’s a little tricky.

What we also learned a little from Vanessa is that she would be more than happy letting James go home this week, mostly because keeping him is not good for her game and she doesn’t like how he talks about women. Jeff really isn’t really good for her game either (and has also made not-great comments about women), but you could argue that James has more actual allies. Everyone seems to be aware that Jeff is shady, and that may not make him public enemy #1 for her.

Steve’s in a good spot for now with most of the Freaks and Geeks, and even otherwise, he is at least not target #1. Audrey is somewhat pinpointed as a threat by many, whereas after this week the remnants of the Meg / Jason / James / Jeff / Jackie crew (who are at least loosely aligned) could go after Vanessa. Johnny Mac and Becky are firmly in the middle of the house right now, largely oblivious to almost everything other than being a pawn here or there. (They believe Audrey is being backdoored, which is what for now the James / Jason crew thinks, as well.)
