‘Mistresses’ season 3, episode 5 review: Joss and Harry’s fight; Karen’s parameters
Monday night’s new episode of “Mistresses” created quite a few slices of romance … but we should add in here that this did not exactly mean that they led to happy endings. What a crazy, at-times dramatic episode this was! We also felt rather emotional at times when we reached the end.
Joss – Say it isn’t so! Why are she and Harry breaking up already? He says it is to give them hope for the future, but we feel that this is more a symptom of how he is a coward, very much afraid of some sort of firm commitment here. The text messages come into play here, and of course so do Niko and Scott in one way or another. Oh, how we cannot forget the other people who are vaguely involved here…
April – Things are looking slightly up for her and her potential new man her Blair, but there are big problems. For one, she’s way too intent on finding out information on this guy in advance! To be honest, we much prepared the story of them out in the woods on this past episode compared to this.
Calista – The scenes with her and Luca are certainly realistic, given that we know many men and women get roped in to these terrible sort of situations often for one reason or another. Above all, though, we just feel sad after watching this. We don’t want to see terrible things happen to her, and it feels almost inevitable.
Karen – Finally, we turn to Karen, Vivian, and Alec, who are somehow figuring out that a three-way relationship is really what they want. this episode had its fair share of steamy scenes, and it doesn’t seem like this story will be ending in the immediate future, either! It’s certainly controversial, and that may be good for the show.
