‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: 90-minute special coming after ‘Supergirl’ premiere
The second season of “Scorpion” is coming up on CBS this fall, and you better believe that the members of this team are not going to just be sitting around twiddling their thumbs when the show comes back. There are a variety of new missions ahead, and as you would expect they will to continue to test the team in a variety of different ways.
One thing that you are definitely going to see that is new next season? A longer episode! The network confirmed today, as the cast participated in various Comic-Con festivities, that the October 26 episode after the “Supergirl” premiere at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time is going to run for 90 minutes. This basically gives the show a chance to have a miniature action movie right in the middle of the network schedule.
This is an interesting move, but it also shows the willingness that CBS has to give this show unique opportunities. We get the sense that they are really high on this becoming an even larger hit for them, and we understand why. It got off to somewhat of a slow start, but it has since become a really fun show anchored by a great cast, and there are some of the best pairings out there in Happy / Toby and Walter / Paige.
Production on season 2 started earlier this week, and it is set to officially premiere in September. With that, we imagine that we are going to have a whole lot more in the way of “Scorpion” news to report soon. Be on the lookout!
