‘Royal Pains’ season 7 spoilers: Surprising returns and sadness in finale

When the “Royal Pains” season 7 finale airs a little later this month, we are going to have a little bit of an interesting full-circle moment. Remember Nikki? We haven’t really seen her since the series first premiered, but she had a huge role in how Hank ended up getting to the Hamptons. Also, it is one of the few times where he got to the point where he was thinking about wedding with someone.

The synopsis for “Lending a Shoulder” (airing July 21) below reveals that you are going to be seeing more of this character in some capacity. For those curious, she will be played by the same actress from the pilot in Pascale Hutton. Meanwhile, you’re also going to see something truly sad when it comes to Divya:

“Hank runs into his ex-fiance Nikki and has a startling revelation. Evan and Paige help Elán through her labor and learn their first tough lesson about being parents. After suffering a devastating loss, Divya envisions a new future for her career and family.”

Once again, it is somewhat interesting that there is no Jeremiah mentioned at all in here. That doesn’t mean that he will not be a part of the finale, but this character has in particular fluttered in and out of the series this season. Now that he seems to be getting away from the lab again, we’re hoping to see him turn up a little bit more.

Yes, this seventh season is extremely short (think only eight episodes). However, at least know that there are eight more episodes coming next summer. We’ll take having security over a longer season this summer.
