‘Extant’ season 2 spoilers: Halle Berry addresses possibility of character ‘evolving’

There are going to be a variety of opportunities for various shows to shine this week at San Diego Comic-Con. Today, this just happened to be the right time for CBS Television Studios to bring some of their own hits to the stage. This included “Extant,” which unveiled what has to be a rather surprising teaser at the show’s panel discussion on Thursday. After all, it appeared almost that Halle Berry’s character of Molly is going to experience some sort of DNA alterations as a result of some of what has happened to her.

After all, a new promo (per Entertainment Weekly) showed that Molly may be developing some more alien qualities. What did Berry have to say about this? She did not necessarily present many teasers when it comes to her own character’s journey, but stated that there are some important questions that the show may be looking to answer with this story:

“Our show really addresses evolution and who will survive and who will be the last people standing … Who will survive? How will we evolve? It’s about something that could potentially, and will probably, affect all of us someday, is our evolution and what that might look like.”

Just for fun, let’s throw in here a synopsis for next week’s episode, as well, since it is going to have some key revelations in regards to Molly’s son:

“Molly finally learns the frightening truth about what happened to her son. Also, Julie’s decision to erase Ethan’s memory has disturbing consequences.”
