‘Under the Dome’ season 3 spoilers: Marg Helgenberger teases Christine’s future at Comic-Con

“Under the Dome” is one of the first series to get the San Diego Comic-Con treatment on Thursday, and with this of course allows us to have an opportunity to share a little bit of scoop! This was a lively panel, but to us the exciting conclusion was the appearance of Marg Helgenberger, who has been front and center as of late for her mysterious “therapist” character of Christine.

The biggest thing that we learned from the panel about her is specifically that she is not going to be going anywhere for a while. As Helgenberger teased, she is currently still reading scripts that feature her character in some way, so with that it is pretty easy to infer that she is not going anywhere. With that in mind, she said that some future readings are getting emotional for her, especially since she has grown attached to being a part of the show.

Helgenberger (who has a deep history with CBS thanks to “CSI” and “Intelligence”) also added that Christine has a specific “agenda” for Chester’s Mill that she is working to implement. Some people are likely going to agree to be a part of it, but not everyone. Let’s just remember that you’ve got Big Jim, Julia, and other huge personalities out there.

Oh, we should also mention that it was teased at the panel that there could be a big character death later this season … not that this should really be a surprise to anyone.
