‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Will hometown dates for Shawn Booth, Nick Viall, Ben Higgins happen soon?

While the promo that aired after Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelorette” showed that there would be plenty of romance and drama on the overnight dates, it was not entirely clear if the hometown dates were going to happen a little later in the two hours.

Now, we have official verification that they will, which is certainly good news for the sake of not dragging this out forever. At the same time, though, these hometown dates are not hometown dates at all. For whatever reason, production is traveling to a neutral location that is not even close to where some of the remaining contestants are from. Maybe this is a move for the sake of saving money, or just because they wanted to try and avoid spoilers that tend to come out of hometowns. It’s hard to say, but the synopsis below offers up some confirmation:

“The Bachelorette travels to Utah, where the final two men’s families are skeptical and worried that their men will be hurt in this quest for love. How will Kaitlyn choose between the two bachelors who are in love with her? Is her judgment clouded by the importance of her decision?”

For the standpoint of drama, it is clearly going to be the most interesting if Shawn Booth and Nick Viall are the final two. Can you imagine there being a full-on family feud, and not the silly kind that involves buzzers and Steve Harvey? It will also be reasonably awkward given that this would be the second time that we have seen Nick in this position.
