‘Ink Master’ season 6, episode 5 preview: St. Marq battles; Chris Blinston’s canvas passes out
The preview that we saw after tonight’s new episode of “Ink Master” was a combination of two different things: Something you tend to see almost every episode, and then something you don’t see too often.
Let’s start with our “go figure” moment of the week: St. Marq is not playing well with others. The preview shows him fighting, which should come as no surprise given that he has fancied himself both a puppetmaster and, in his own words, a “god” so far this season. He feels like he can take down anyone, which from an entertainment perspective is tremendous. He just has to be careful, since he is setting himself up to be saddled with difficult human canvases and challenges all season long if he keeps this up.
As for what we don’t see very often, Chris Blinston’s human canvas just seems to have flat-out passed out in the middle of his elimination challenge, and he has to call in medical to look at her. First of all, you gotta make sure she is okay; if she is able to continue getting the tattoo from there on out, the struggle then becomes having a lot less time than you planned. Losing him would be a big loss; interestingly, both he and St. Marq at the moment are two guys we feel could go very far this season.
As for who needs to step things up now, it’s pretty clear that Kito Talbert could be on borrowed time unless he raises his game after two straight episodes in the bottom.
