‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Kelly Rowland set to appear … in flashbacks
The incredible guest cast for “Empire” season 2 continues to add new names. This time around, we are talking about former Destiny’s Child member and “X Factor” judge Kelly Rowland.
According to a new report from E! News, Rowland is going to guest-star on the Fox series in the role of Lucious’ mother. Given the fact that Kelly is twelve years younger than Terence Howard, you may wonder already how in the world this is even possible. Well, the answer that we have for you now is this: We’re going back in time! Rowland will be featured in flashbacks, which will be interesting to see mostly from the vantage point of learning more and more of where Lucious came from, and what may have led him to become the music industry titan that we see him as on the series.
Rowland joins a cast that is going to include Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, and many more guest stars to go along with all the series regulars. Given the fact that we are looking this time around at a 18-episode order as opposed to the 12 for season 1, that does allow for more opportunities for big-name stars to appear.
The new season of “Empire” is going to be premiering on Fox on Wednesday, September 23. Since that is still a little ways away, we imagine that we will have so much more in the way of news before that time. Be on the lookout!
